Summary: They say that horror films desensitize us, and perhaps erode at our sanity. But imagine how the editors feel, having to analyze every gory bit and see what stays and what goes. We value those with the mental fortitude to do it. At least, the people who could take it better than poor Mr. Swenson here.

History: Edward Swenson was a good-natured fellow ready to take on the job of editing...in the Splatter and Gore Department of the European Film Company. And this was after the previous editor blew up his own head in a fit of suicide. Ed seems to do well before all the excessive violence corrodes at his mind. Soon, he's having terrifying hallucinations and hearing voices in his head telling him to correct the world. It isn't long before he becomes a raving lunatic...

Final Fate: After going on a complete bloody rampage at the mental ward he's in, his voices tell him he's done a lousy job of correcting everything, and he's blasted to pieces with a shotgun.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Edward here may look like a meek individual, but he's got a huge capacity for violence now. I mean, how would you feel if you had to edit a movie that included a rape scene involving beavers of all things? Needless to say, Ed's insanity is both sad and brutal.

Trivia: -This film was made as a biting mockery of the rampant film censorship constantly being done by the Swedish Statens biografbyra, one of the oldest film censorship bureau in the world, until 1996. Although the filmmakers in this film were ridiculed for doing such a thing, they got their wish when the bureau was eventually disbanded in 2011.

-The original cut had more scenes between Edward and his wife, and ended with her shooting him so he could be institutionalized. This was too boring to the filmmakers, and they revised the ending a lot.
